People living with dementia feel lonely, dependant and volatile. This leads to problems like sleep disturbances, feeling like a burden, loneliness and depression. The patients require a caretaker to assist them in basic daily activities but they also feel that this is a breach of their privacy. Hence, we decided to rectify these problems by providing the patient with a companion who would be like a family member itself. Thus, Ava was born.
